Billing process in US hospital:

Patient goes to the hospital to check their problems. Once patient complete the treatment patient will come back to home without paying to the hospital. Hospital will transfer patient’s medical report to the insurance company to process the medical coding. Medical coder will review the Patient’s Medical report and code for the diagnosis and treatment by using ICD, CPT and HCPCS. Provider will receive the payment after Medical billing process.

Medical coder job responsibility:

Clinical coder review the medical record and code for the diagnosis and treatment by using the three types of Medical coding books (ICD, CPT and HCPCS).
